Head of the Environmental Cluster of the NSTP-CWTS and an advocate of environmental literacy and sustainability, Mr. Jaypee Yongco, recently joined climate leaders from around the world in The Climate Reality Leadership Corps Global Training, held at Citadines Hotel Bacolod City, Philippines on March 29, 2025.

The intensive program, spearheaded by Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore, aimed to equip a new wave of climate leaders with the knowledge, tools, and community support to drive meaningful climate action in their respective regions.

This year’s training, themed “The REALITY® Tour,” brought together environmental advocates, educators, community organizers, and NGO leaders across the globe to learn the latest climate science, policy developments, and communication strategies. It featured expert panels, climate data presentations, and insights from Al Gore himself, who inspired participants to amplify their efforts in addressing the climate crisis.

Reflecting on the experience, Mr. Yongco shared, “The event gave me a better grasp of climate change, especially the talk of Al Gore. All the data presented was somewhat alarming, yet he was able to put hope into perspective, showing us what we should do and where we are in global initiatives to mitigate the impact of climate change. I was also able to meet different individuals and NGOs, which truly enriched me as an advocate.”

The participation of Mr. Yongco not only underscores 处女视频-IIT’s commitment to environmental responsibility but also strengthens the university’s role in promoting climate literacy and sustainability initiatives in the local and national arena.

The Climate Reality Project, founded by Al Gore, has trained over 45,000 climate leaders in over 170 countries since its inception. As a newly certified Climate Reality Leader, Mr. Yongco is expected to lead impactful actions and collaborate with other global leaders to promote awareness, adaptation, and mitigation efforts in response to climate change.
